The house is south facing and has stunning views over the countryside and dow the valley. There are three small hamlets within reasonable walking distance and here you will find a shop, cafe and bar.

The river splits into two where it enters the land and the current owners have, from one branch, created a natural swimming bath. The property while being totally private is only 2km from the town of Castanheira de Pera. This is a good size town where you will find, cafes, shops, banks, post office and a weekly market. There is a river that runs through the town and provides two river beaches and a water fall. In addition there is a library and a sports centre. In the town also is Praia de Rocha which has the largest outdoor wave machine swimming pool in Europe.
The house is situated less than half an hour to Pombal, Tomar and Coimbra which are all large towns/cities offering a plethora of shops, cafes, restaurants, supermarkets, doctors offices, pharmacies, entertainment venues, parks, markets and all other facilities you would expect from a large town or city.
