Full Description

REDUCED in price - Here we have a delightful 2 Bedroom Stone Built Cottage that has been charmingly renovated with no Immediate Neighbours but a short stroll to a popular Bar / Creperie in the Countryside.

Easy to Manage enclosed gardens of 237 m2 with various seating area and terraces to take in the sun during all times of the day.
This cottage is really a charming home. The room sizes are deceptively spacious once inside and all use has been made of each delightful room.

The property is not overlooked and has no immediate neighbours yet a couple of minute walk to a renowned Creperie and Bar, if you do not want to take the car into the nearest village. It has some lovely open views of fields.

A stable door leads into the spacious lounge which is large enough for a dining table and chairs and benefits from a cosy log burning stove.

From the lounge a separate kitchen and the shower room with wash hand basin and WC.

A solid wooden stairway leads from the side wall of the lounge to a landing area and two good size double bedrooms. One of which is currently used as a second lounge to take in the surrounding views.

The property is habitable immediately and has a lovely welcoming relaxed feel. The updating from the current owners is very tasteful indeed.

An early viewing is highly recommended for this property for those wanting a traditional Brittany cottage in the countryside

The department of Finistere has a feeling of being carved out of the earth by the sea and is the wildest area of Brittany, it is also the most western of all French departments. The name Finistere comes from the Latin phrase 'finis terrae', meaning 'land's end'.

It has the English Channel to the north, Cotes-d'Armor and Morbihan to the east, the Bay of Biscay to the south and the Atlantic Ocean to the west.

Quimper, the department's capital, is located to the south and has a distinctive Breton character just like all the main towns such as Brest, Chateaulin, Morlaix and Quimper. Over a third of the area is covered with forest, moors and scrubland.

Along the coast, farmers divide their time between commercial fishing and working their small farms. To see the Fish-markets, Douarnenez is worth a visit as is Brest which is on the west coast and is also a major naval port.
