The property sits in a very private countryside area, just at the edge to Maçãs dona Maria, which is in between the towns of Alvaiazere and Avelar where you can find more amenities.
The house is surrounded by numerous natural hiking tracks with great scenery spots provided by the mountains and forest landscape in Central Portugal. Layout

The property is currently accessed just off a country cobbled road, you enter through the front door on to the main reception/seating room, then to the left is the large kitchen, in front there is the bathroom and a small bedroom then to the right there are 2 double rooms, the loft is accessible and was built with eucalyptus rafters, which are in good condition together with the tiles.
On the outside there's an annex building which is another support kitchen with a fire place. Then there's another storage room next to it, making it possible to connect this buildings to the main house extending the living quarters.
Then on the side opposite to the house as one arrives there's a car port and other storage sheds.
Under the main living quarters and currently just accessed from the outside, there's the basement cellar and other wine making room also suitable for conversion to living quarters.

The property is located in the sought after small Village of Maçãs Dona Maria renowned for the amazing views from the main square the town is at similar distance from the Market towns of Alvaiazere, Avelar and Ansião.
The municipality town of Alvaiazere it’s 8km, the municipality town of Ansião it’s 15km distance where you find, pharmacies, registry office, notary services, banks, supermarkets, schools, public swimming pool parks, cafés en restaurants, market on Wednesday & Saturday.
Around this area there are typical villages, mills, panoramic views, roman ruins, monuments, river beaches etc.
The small castle city of Penela is about 26km distance.
The historic town of Tomar, which is home to the UNESCO listed Convento do Cristo, founded by the Templars is only 40 minutes drive from the property.
Figueira da Foz the beautiful coastal beach is easily accessed in approximately 1hour by car via the IC8.
All major European high street shopping is available in city of Coimbra the 3rd biggest city in Portugal which is only 40 minutes drive on the A13 motorway.
Porto and Lisbon airports are at similar distance from the property, Lisbon is approximately 1 hour and 35 minutes drive and Porto approximately 1.50 min by car.
