The property is a house in the island of Sikinos, in Chorio, one of the two settlements, (Chorio and Kastro), that compose the village of Chora, the capital of the island, up on the hills, at a distance of 3,5 kilometers away from the port of Alopronia. Chorio is the quiet area of Chora village, situated only with residences. Settlement of Kastro, only 200 steps away from Chorio, is more noisy, especially during summertime, having 3 taverns, 4 little café-bars, town hall, police station, two mini markets, bakery, butcher’s, school, museum, post office, ATM bank, pharmacy and surgery. The house was almost a ruin, close to 90 years old and the initial thought was to be renovated and keep it as a family house to spend summer vocation. Works of full renovation started in 2011 having to do with new concrete slabs, new wooden logs on the ceiling, new plasters on inside and outside walls, new tiles on the floors, new electrical circuits and plumbing, new wooden doors and windows, new kitchen and bathroom, and new furniture, all supervised by the owner, and finished by 2012.
