The house is situated in a medieval stone village, just 16 kilometres from Uzès, and 60 kilometres from Nimes airport. It is also only two kilometres from the lovely perched medieval village of Lussan, with restaurants and summer events. Rare for a small village, there is a bread and grocery shop, Post Office, and restaurant, all with a couple of minutes walking distance.
Uzès is one of the best loved towns in the region. Here you can visit the famous Saturday market, eat in the chic restaurants and bars, and visit the summer and winter festivals. There is a cinema here, and supermarkets and DIY stores. Also it is only 36 kilometres from Nimes airport, and 54 from Montpellier airport.
Weekly markets offer locally sourced farm produce in the nearby towns, several of which also hold medieval and antiques festivals. Swimming is popular in isolated and magical surrounding rivers, and other outdoor activities include horse-riding, kayaking, cycling and mountain climbing. There are many fascinating cities to visit, including Nîmes, Avignon, Anduze, Alès, Uzès, Montpellier and Marseille, and the Mediterranean coast is also close at Grau-du-Roi, Sainte Marie de la Mer and the Camargue
