Here you can find a myriad of little side streets and stumble upon the quaintest of family owned restaurants offering a mouth watering selection of local cuisine. Stari Grad also has a record beating number of cafe bars which is a pre requisite to the Mediterranean style of life. The ferry port, is home to Jadrolinija who offer a comprehensive service to the mainland with up to 6 ferry crossings in the summer months. Nearby town of Jelsa, has a daily catamaran service also run by Jadrolinija to Split via the town of Bol on Brac Island. In addition their is also the new and highly acclaimed European Coastal Airline service which has several daily flights from Jelsa to Split airport in under 15 minutes!
