Full Description

Bungalow Chalet Style Timber-Framed House with 2 Bedroom accommodation with garden and within walking distance of the village with most amenities.

This very well insulated property would make both a permanent home or holiday home.

It is all one level living and set back from the lane in a peaceful position.

The construction is built and insulated to stand harder winters than we have in Brittany, so should be nice and cosy and economical to heat.

Entrance is set off the road via a shared drive, with one other property behind.

There are ample gardens to the front and private, off road parking behind the chalet.

Main entrance at the front, from glassed doors leading into the very bright open plan living and kitchen area. There is a breakfast bar, dividing the 2 rooms, a bedroom. Landing area leads to another kitchen/utility room in the middle of the bungalow and a further double bedroom and fully equipped bathroom, (full size bath) with glass shower curtain, WC and wash hand basin.

A door from the corridor takes you directly to the rear garden, handy for the parking and shopping.

The property was built in 2012 and is very bright and spacious. Has a modern feel and is practicable in every way.

The department of Finistere has a feeling of being carved out of the earth by the sea and is the wildest area of Brittany, it is also the most western of all French departments. The name Finistere comes from the Latin phrase 'finis terrae', meaning 'land's end'.

It has the English Channel to the north, Cotes-d'Armor and Morbihan to the east, the Bay of Biscay to the south and the Atlantic Ocean to the west.

Quimper, the department's capital, is located to the south and has a distinctive Breton character just like all the main towns such as Brest, Chateaulin, Morlaix and Quimper. Over a third of the area is covered with forest, moors and scrubland.

Along the coast, farmers divide their time between commercial fishing and working their small farms. To see the Fish-markets, Douarnenez is worth a visit as is Brest which is on the west coast and is also a major naval port.
