There is a good selection of bars and restaurants in the area and some more localised establishments closer to the urbanisations situated further from the centre of the resort.
Calahonda with its beach stretching 4.5km is situated 35km from Malaga International Airport. The resort has grown less aggressively than that of some of its neighbouring resorts due to building restrictions on green land and limitations on apartment developments has allowed Calahonda to maintain most of its charm.
