Bad Ischl is a lively town, with excellent infrastructure and regular cultural events, including the Lehar Festival and programme of “Kur” concerts throughout the year. Located at the centre of the Salzkammergut, the Austrian “Lake District, Bad Ischl enjoys easy access Salzburg and the surrounding villages including Hallstatt, St. Gilgen and St. Wolfgang.     Winter is a magical time in Bad Ischl. The mountains are wrapped in snow and there is every sort of winter pursuit available in the area.
