Full Description

SOLD.
This is in fact 2 houses attached to each other which are set in the small village of San Jose La Rabita. Both houses need modernising and there is a possibility to make a roof terrace which would have nice views over the countryside.
The second house on the right is small and needs a total internal reform. The main house needs renovating as well but it could be combined with the 2nd one to create one big family home. It has potentially 6 bedrooms in total and a bathroom. All the rooms are large with high ceilings. There is a kitchen which of course needs fitting but then you get your own choice and plumbing is in place.
With a little imagination and work this could be a lovely home. At the rear there is a walled patio garden and there is a driveway at the front so there is some outside space. This is semi detached as there is a house on the other side.
The larger village of La Rabita is just a few mins drive where there are full amenities including bars, local shops, supermarket, bank and pharmacy etc, plus a petrol station with a nice restaurant and a primary school.  Once it has been reformed, this property offers so much as either a holiday home or for full-time living.
La Rabita in Jaen province is placed on the outskirt of Sierra de San Pedro, located northwest of Alcala la Real. Its origin dates back to the Muslim era when it was called Asbatit and todays name came from ribat which is an Islamic religious, military construction.  The festivities in honor of the Ascension of the Lord and the Virgen del Carmen are held in mid-May and last several days, with sports and religious activities that culminate in the procession of the Virgin. San José fiesta is also celebrated on March 19.  The abundance of water allows the cultivation of irrigated land and fruit trees, in addition to the traditional cereal and olive crops.
