Description complète

In the rolling Tuscan hills, halfway from the village of Peccioli and Legoli, we offer for sale a stone farmhouse in Tuscan style dating back to the late '700 placed in the hills and with a stunning view of the surrounding countryside.

CASALE BOSCONE has ancient origins, in fact it was already present in the maps of the old Leopoldino Cadastre of 1882.

The property is spread over 2 levels with a total area of about 250 square meters.
Internally, the ground floor is composed of a large living room with fireplace, large kitchen, a bathroom and a closet. The internal staircase leads to the first floor where there are 4 bedrooms, 3 of which double and one smaller with loft, a large living room and two bathrooms with windows, one with shower.

The current owners in the 2000s carried out the renovation of the roof with double insulation and cork inside the walls in order to achieve greater energy savings.

The farmhouse is surrounded by 3000 square meters of agricultural land currently kept in lawn where there are 3 large gazebos where you can eat outdoor during the summer and enjoy moments of pure relaxation. A few meters from the property there is also a large wood-burning oven wisely renovated and, not far away, completing the property a beautiful swimming pool with Roman staircase of 12x6 meters.

The proximity to all the main services, the airport of Pisa, the highway Fi-Pi-Li and places of interest such as the renowned golf course of Castelfalfi, San Gimignano and Volterra, Casale Boscone is the ideal property both for private house and for tourist accommodation.

According to the Latin etymology, the name of Palaia indicated the place and the working of the wooden poles, to be used in the construction of buildings and boats. today it is also the starting point for scenic excursions of great beauty along the wine road of the Pisan hills, and also well known for its truffles, where the first identity card of Tuber Magnatum Pico (Latin name of the white truffle) was born.
Palaia had a period of prosperity from which the PIEVE DI SAN MARTINO XIII century was built (1279, church of Sant'Andrea from 1200. In the surroundings we find the village of Montefoscoli, where the museum of peasant civilization is located, and the Temple of Minerva Medica, known as a place of esotericism.
The medieval character of Palaia is home to a fortress from which you can enjoy a breathtaking 360° view. Palaia also boasts Ghibelline walls and the two Romanesque churches of Santa Maria and Sant'Andrea.
The hilly surroundings are an ideal setting for trekking, biking or horseriding. A marked network of paths crosses through little known historic hamlet such as Alica, San Gervasio and Colleoli.
Palaia is crossed not only by the Wine Route of the Pisan Hills but it’s also an important white truffle area, celebrated every year in October with a market fair taking place in the cozy village of Forcoli once a medieval castle. In Forcoli it’s possible to find primary services such as post office, bank, grocery stores, shops, schools and public transport to reach Pontedera or Pisa.
