Larnaca is a city on the southern coast of Cyprus and the capital of the eponymous district. It is the third-largest city in the country, after Nicosia and Limassol, with a metro population of 144,200 in 2015.
Larnaca is known for its palm-tree seafront, the Church of Saint Lazarus, Hala Sultan Tekke, Kamares Aqueduct, and Larnaca Castle. It is built on the ruins of ancient Citium, which was the birthplace of Stoic philosopher Zeno. Larnaca is home to the country’s primary airport, Larnaca International Airport. It also has a seaport and a marina.

Aradippou is a municipality of Cyprus and is located northeast of Larnaca and a small distance from the International airport. At the town limits there is the Rizaelia Forest. The protector of the municipality is Saint Loukas. Its name comes from the mythical King Aradippos who was its resident. The residents of Aradippou were traditionally farmers, stockmen and many of them landowners. Aradippou is in the area of the ancient Kitio, where buildings of the Hellenistic period have been discovered. In the present day, Aradippou constitutes a nodal point at the international road network of the island and the nodal transportation of Rizoelia which is known to every Cypriot.
Aradippou received its municipality in 1986 and it has gradually been established as one dynamically evolving vigorous town.
