Description complète

In the hills above Lucca, with a magnificent view, detached villa with pretty garden and swimming pool.

The villa is light and airy with Tuscan features which give it character and warmth: such as the Tuscan arches and terracotta floors. Presented in very good order the house is entered on a private gated path to the front door and a hallway and then into the open-space living/ dining room, with corner fireplace and arches. There are double doors which open onto a covered loggia area outside, perfect for dining 'al fresco'. The large kitchen is beautifully equipped with marble sink and it holds a table and chairs. On this level there are two double bedrooms and a bathroom, all with pretty views from the large windows, and on the top floor are a further two double bedrooms with bathroom. On the lower-ground level of the villa is a large garage, a dedicated laundry room and plenty of additional storage space which is currently used as additional living space.

Prettily planted garden with built-in pizza oven. Swimming pool (8m x 4m). Private, gated driveway, private parking and garage. Central heating.

Lucca is one of the best-loved of Tuscan cities, with a beautiful Roman amphitheatre, the oval Piazza dell'Anfiteatro, at its centre, an ideal place to sip an aperitivo. Lucca is famous for the many beautiful towers and an abundance of churches, many dating between the 12th and 16th centuries. As the city grew and modernised, the walls which surrounded the old town were retained and the top of these walls became a pretty pedestrian promenade, which today is one of Lucca's main attractions. The area around the walls is beautiful parkland and you can pick up rental bikes of all sizes and enjoy a bike ride around the entire perimeter as you enjoy a gelato. Other attractions include the Piazza San Michele with its beautiful Church of San Michele in Foro, the Basilica of San Frediano as well as the Clock Tower and the famous Guinigi Tower, with extraordinary, tall trees growing at the top. The rooftop views are magnificent for every angle.

Versilia is the stretch of golden sandy beaches from the tip of Liguria to Viareggio, the southernmost resort on the Italian Riviera. Liberty style buildings housing fashionable shops, cafes, and seafood restaurants line the promenade. Viareggio is famous for the annual Carnevale dating back to 1873 with large papier-mâché floats which parade along the promenade known as the "Passeggiata a mare". In nearby Forte dei Marmi you can shop in the upmarket designer shops or while away the evening 'people watching' in the pretty central piazza, where the bars serve refreshing camparis. Further inland is Bagni di Lucca, a spa town. In the nineteenth century Bagni di Lucca became an exclusive retreat for Europe’s nobility and and visitors will find that the spas are still active today. The nearby Canyon Adventure Park offers canyoning, rafting, zip wiring and yoga. Pisa airport and the beaches in less than half an hour.

Distances: Lucca 8 km, Viareggio (beaches) 25 km, Pietrasanta 30 km, Pisa (airport) 30 km, Forte dei Marmi 40 km, Florence 75 km.
