Description complète

A lovingly restored country cortijo which measures over 200m² and is located in the hamlet of Los Llanos de Taberno. The current owner´s flair for interior design is demonstrated in abundance as you walk around this enchanting home. The rural views are beautiful, and the location ensures peace & tranquillity, yet is not totally isolated.

This location offers a real taste of Andalusian Spain; the town of Taberno is just a short 5 minute drive away and here you will find amenities such as a weekly market, bars, bank, restaurant, school, doctor´s surgery and a municipal outdoor swimming pool open during the summer months. The larger town of Huercal Overa is approximately 20 minutes away, whilst the beaches of San Juan de los Terreros & Aguilas are reachable within 45 minutes. There are also 3 airports within easy reach; Almeria, Murcia-Corvera and Alicante.

There is a local bar/restaurant as well as El Rancho bar/restaurant with a large swimming pool for customer use approximately 20-25 minutes´ walk away from the house. The immediate hamlet also boasts a visit from the local doctor once a week, and regular local deliveries such as bread, fruit & veg, etc.

The extent of the plot has been fenced and the owners have created a very low maintenance garden with many mature plants & trees. On entering the plot, to the right there is plenty of off road parking and a double car port providing shaded parking. Next to the car port is a storeroom/workshop which is connected to power and could be converted into further accommodation, if required. On the front of the property is a wooden screen enclosed terrace for al fresco dining and this has access to the kitchen. Adjacent to this terrace, is a beautiful courtyard area with a door into the second bedroom. Above the second bedroom, there is a roof terrace ideal for private sunbathing and this is accessed from steps at the side of the house. Around the garden, features including old farming equipment, bench seating and a well all help to create that traditional Spanish feel. There is plenty of space for a Jacuzzi or above-ground pool within the plot.

Once inside, the cortijo continues to impress. The modern design and traditional features blend seamlessly; there is distressed painted kitchen & furniture, exposed ceiling beams, modern lighting & ceramic tiling, stone cladding, stable doors etc.

On entering the cortijo, there is a long kitchen and dining room with corner log burning fire, stable door out to the enclosed terrace area and an amazing sloping ceiling with exposed beams. On the right, the vendors have cleverly used an old traditional farmhouse door as a wall feature, and it is this attention to detail throughout the house that leaves a lasting impression. The kitchen has been decorated in a distressed style, and the appliances are integrated behind cupboard doors. A door to the left then leads into the huge lounge. This room boasts a feature log burning fireplace at the far end, whilst a set of formal double doors lead out to the front courtyard. An old animal trough has been re-used to create the TV recess.

In the lounge, a door on the right then leads into a spacious bath & shower room with natural stone cladding, corner log burner and a huge walk-in shower. A second door on the right in the lounge leads into the very generous master bedroom, again with a feature fireplace. Another doorway at the end of the lounge leads into the 3rd bedroom with corner log burner. Another door on the left in this room leads into the second bedroom which has its own external stable door out to the front courtyard, as well as a feature fireplace and a double stone sink for guests (which requires plumbing). There is another room off the third bedroom which could be used as a 4th bedroom, if required, but which is currently being utilised as a walk through wardrobe and dressing room. An archway on the other side of the room then leads back into the master bedr
