The property is accessed by way of a rural road which leads off the main road and to the two double gates for the property. The Main House .....

The countryside around the town is scattered with vineyards, and Almeirim has a wine route with eight stops at well established country estates and modern cooperatives. In the town, there are quaint traditional squares, with cafes and restaurants, tile-clad mansions and many sights and attractions to pass the time.

There are also supermarkets, banks, pharmacies and all other conveniences you would expect from a good sized town and all within a five minute drive of the property.

10 MINUTES: Santarém was once the home of Portugal's kings throughout the middle ages. It was also where the country's earliest parliament would sit. Which explains the cities beautiful ensemble of Gothic architecture, in its walls, churches, convents and isolated monuments like a Gothic fountain with a king's seal.

30 MINUTES: The famous Golegã Horse Fair an annual event which takes place over 10 days in November. During this time, the usually quiet town transforms into a lively horsey hub! It is a spectacle like no other in the world and we recommend that every horse person puts this visit on their bucket list. This popular event is always a sell-out event for hotels and B & B's in the area
