Five bedroomed beach villa on the most beautiful beach on the Island of Elba. This little island, just 10km off the Tuscan coast, lies within a national park, and it is an area of particular natural beauty, with exceptional fine white sand on the beaches, considered the most beautiful in Italy.

Wonderful five bedroomed villa on two floors, just a few steps from the beach, close to Spartaia on the northern shore of the island of Elba. The villa commands a fantastic sea view and dates from the 1960s. The original character has been perfectly preserved externally, with the interior ready to re-model and modernise.

The ground floor has two independent entrances. On one side there are three bedrooms - one is a double, one is a little smaller and the other is a single bedroom, with two bathrooms; from the other entrance there is one bedroom and a bathroom. Also on this floor is are technical/ storage rooms.

On the first floor there is a spacious living area with fireplace and a terrace with sea view, kitchen, light and bright dining room which is surrounded by windows, a large double bedroom and a bathroom.

The land is large, around 2,000 sqm, with around 1,000 sqm as garden and an additional area of woodland, also around 1,000 sqm. From the ground floor the garden is well landscaped; from the first floor the garden is nicely terraced and there is a large pergola. There is a private path through the grounds which leads directly to the beach.

There is private parking for two cars and a private road which reaches to the sea. This is of particular value as this enchanting cove is especially popular, so parking is precious. It is an easy walk to the village of Procchio from the villa.

Elba is known for its beaches, and as Napoleon’s place of exile in 1814–15. In the northern town of Portoferraio, displays at the National Museum of Napoleonic Residences trace the French emperor’s time on the island. Procchio is a beach resort in the centre of the northern coast which is situated on a beautiful gulf, with some of the most beautiful beaches in Elba - Procchio, Spartaia, Paolina and Guardiola. The sea is crystal clear and the fine white sand ensures that these beaches, together with Pomonte, are considered amongst the very best in Italy. They are well looked after and served with bars, pizzerie and restaurants, as well as offering a range of watersports. The town of Procchio, whilst not large, boasts a covered square, where live music is often played in the evenings and a well-equipped park serves as a place for numerous summer parties. There are many hotels, villas and apartments scattered over a vast area of ??breathtaking countryside.

On Elba, there is a long history of producing dessert wines from Aleatico, a red Italian wine grape variety which produces the famous liquor wine found only on this island. During his exile on Elba, the Aleatico wines of the island became a favourite drink of Napoleon and he was reported to have said that they were his only consolation during this time. The island cuisine centres around the fresh fish from the shores with many excellent fish and seafood restaurants, with emphasis on natural, fresh, local produce. Another speciality produced on the northern coast is the unique perfume of Acqua dell'Elba, which is created with natural raw materials and artisan techniques of production.

Elba is only 10 kms from the Tuscan coast. The ferry crossing from Piombino to Portoferraio takes around an hour and there is a very good and frequent service throughout the year. It is also possible to take boat trips and ferries to the islands of Corsica and Sardinia. There is an airport on Elba with flights from Pisa, Florence, Milan (Linate) and Lugano. There are also some direct international flights from Bern and Zurich.
