We are pleased to offer for sale this fantastic renovation project of a stone ruin house on the island of Hvar. In fact, there are two traditional stone houses adjacent to each other requiring complete renovation and restoration. The houses are typical of this period and of the island and are arranged over three floors. The ground floor is known as a konoba which was the working floor where the produce was produced such as wine and olives. External steps lead to the first floor or raised ground level and into the house with a further set of internal stairs leading to the second floor. Typical features of a house of this period are the one metre thick stone walls which keep both the heat out in the summer and in during the winter months. There is also the added benefit of a small garden located next to one of the houses providing the rear opportunity outside space within the village.

The properties are located in a very popular inland village which is under the conservation protection, who have issued a building permit to renovate both these properties.

Pitve village dates back over 2,000 years and lies at the foot of the Vrh hills close to the seaside town of Jelsa which is only a few kilometres away and predominately on the level making it ideal for walking or cycling. Jelsa is a beautifully typical Dalmatian picturesque seaside town which has a central pjaca square with a good selection of cafe bars and restaurants which is always essential to the vibrancy of the local area! There is also a daily catamaran service to Split via Bol on the island of Brac operated by Jadrolinija. In the other direction, Stari Grad ferry port has a comprehensive ferry service in the summer to Split which takes just under two hours.
