Description complète

Beautiful family villa with four bedrooms and relaxed living spaces in Forte dei Marmi, just 500m from the beach.

Light and spacious villa (200 sqm), with an easy flow, set in the very centre of Forte dei Marmi, just 500m from the beach. The villa has undergone a complete transformation over recent years and is now presented in immaculate condition. The property comprises a beautiful four bedroomed house, with open living spaces and well-fitted bedrooms and modern bathrooms, opening onto a private, secluded garden with a large 'dependance', or guest unit.

The property is accessed from a quiet street off the main Piazza of Forte dei Marmi. There are electric entrance gates and private parking. The house offers light and space, with an elegant double living area downstairs, a practical and very well-equipped kitchen with linked dining room. The main living space is spacious and of double height giving an impressive welcome. There are large glass doors which open to the garden, allowing a great connection for inside/outside summertime living and an impressive fireplace to gather around. A large arched window offers a focal point and allows the sunlight to stream through.

Up to the mezzanine level is a spectacular open galleried landing space, overlooking the main living room and currently used as an office or it could also accommodate occasional guests. On this level is a good guest bedroom with beautiful en suite bathroom and ample dressing area. Upstairs again is the master suite, with en suite and dressing area and two additional bedrooms with family bathroom. There is loft storage.

From the pedestrian gate we are welcomed into the well-kept garden, framed by walls and hedging and offering privacy. A beautiful paved terrace area is ideal as a lunch spot. Just across the garden from the main house is a large 'dependence', or guest unit. This echoes the style of the main house in being spacious and light with high beamed ceiling and it offers potential as a guest suite, a teenage hangout, a movie room or additional living space. It is equipped with laundry facilities and separate bathroom.

There is a storage shed ideal for bicycles and beach equipment.

The interior finishes include dark wood flooring throughout, new, quality windows and doors and sumptuous kitchen and bathrooms.

Forte dei Marmi takes its name from the fort built in the 1700s, as well as from the marble which is quarried just outside the town which is known for exceptional quality and used by Michelangelo. Forte dei Marmi soon grew into an exclusive summer holiday resort frequented by the aristocracy of Italy and from all over Europe. Today, it has lost none of the charm and grandeur and is as popular as ever. The town is set on a seven mile stretch of immaculate beaches with fine white sand. There are excellent restaurants, and a lively nightlife with bars and clubs like the famous “La Capannina” which has been entertaining generations since 1929. The boutiques are perfect for a lazy stroll and are of the best of Italy: Prada, Gucci, Versace, Armani, Dolce & Gabbana and other international brands like Louis Vuitton, Rolex and Philippe Plein. Every Wednesday morning (and also on Sunday morning during summertime), Forte dei Marmi hosts one of the most exclusive and largest street markets of Italy. You can find great deals on designer clothes, cashmere, shoes and handbags and other excellent products at discounted prices. You can find the market in the Piazza Guglielmo Marconi, just 5 minutes walk from the villa.

It is wonderful to explore the shady streets of the town by bicycle or to get to the jetty where there are boat trips to the Cinque Terre and Portovenere every day. Also worth exploring is Pietrasanta, nearby, which is a lovely town at the foot of the Apuan Alps famous worldwide for the processing of marble and bronze. It is called the Little Athens of Italy because artists as Botero and Mitoraj decided to work and live here.If you like the classical music, at the opposite shore of the lake, the open air theatre of Torre del Lago hosts the Puccini Festival. The festival takes place every July and August in honor of the great Maestro Giacomo Puccini that spent most of his life here. Famous international singers and conductors perform the main Operas as La Bohéme, Madame Butterfly, Tosca and Turandot. Viareggio next door, is also known not only for great beaches but also for the famous Carnival in February. Do not miss 'cenci', the traditional pastries of the Carnival. The wonderful Tuscan cities of Lucca and Pisa are each only 30 minutes away and both offer great days out full of history and culture and fabulous restaurants.

Distances: Forte dei Marmi on the doorstep, Beaches 500m, Pietrasanta 5km, Lucca 35 km, Pisa (airport) 40km, Cinque Terre 60 km, Florence 100 km.
