FLOOR PLAN AVAILABLE ON REQUEST

With only one other house in view, and beautiful panoramic countryside views you could be forgiven for thinking that you are secluded, but you are only 11km from Charroux, 20km from Civray and 22km from Confolens giving you tranquillity with accessibility on one very competitively priced package.

Charroux is known for its octagonal tower which is all that is left of one of the most powerful Medieval Benedictine abbeys, founded at the end of the 8th century by Count Roger of Limoges under the protection of Charlemagne. The large abbey church, (11th C) has a typical Carolingian architectural style. Civray also has a rich history and a castle, now in ruins; the church of St. Nicholas, is a masterpiece of the Romanesque architecture and well worth a visit. Confolens is situated on the Vienne river and is known for many things including its yearly music festival. All three towns have everything needed for everyday life.

Getting to the area is easy with flights from many UK airports into Poitiers (70km) and Limoges (73km) with trains at Ruffec (27km) having links to services to Poitiers train station where you have TGV connections to Paris, Bordeaux, London & Brussels.

The house which is on mains water and electricity benefits from many luxury features such as an electric underfloor heating system with radiators; a central vacuum system, double glazed windows with electric shutters and it is exceptionally well insulated. Drainage is to a Fosse installed when the house was built.

The current owners had the house built in 2008 by Villas & Demeures de France for relatives, who no longer live there.
