The town and beaches at Sao Martinho is a few minutes drive or bike ride away. In Sao Martinho there is a wonderful and safe harbor for swimming, a lovely promenade that stretches around the whole beach area. Sao Martinho is a scenic and vibrant beachside town where there are a plethora of shops, restaurants, cafes, hotels. B&B’s. There is a train station here that provides transportation directly to Lisbon.

The main town of Caldas da Rainha is a five minute drive. In Caldas you will find a wide variety of cafes, shops, restaurants as well as all the usual amenities such as banks, pharmacies, doctors, offices etc. There is also a cultural centre that holds regular entertainment events, a beautiful centre park area and a variety of hotels. Every day there is a fresh fruit and vegetable market and on Monday’s there is a general market where you can buy everything for the home and garden.
