The village of Antas, like many in the area has retained its Spanish identity and whilst you will find an English bar or two the majority are Spanish spoken. In the village you will find a selection of shops, small supermarkets, weekly street market, school, bank and other facilities.



The beaches of Vera are a 15 minute drive away, and within another 5 minutes you can be in many other towns and villages both coastal and inland including Villaricos, Garrucha, Los Gallardos and Bédar. There is excellent access to the A7/E15 that serves Almería, Murcia and Alicante airports in 50 minutes, 70 minutes and 2 hours respectively.
