The property is accessed by a single pedestrian with a short flight of steps up to the front door which opens in the the main level of the home. Because the first floor is slightly elevated from street level it provides privacy from people visiting the harbour.

The elegant dining room which could also be utilized as an additional sitting room, has simply beautiful genuine wood floors that lend warmth and character to the home. The front of the house is completely glass so the whole area is flooded with natural light.

There are two “secret” doors in the bank of cupboards that open to reveal the utility room that also provides additional storage. From the utility room there is also a door directly to the outside. To the rear there is a terrace that runs the full width of the house.

The property is located right on the harbor of Sao Martinho do Porto so has full on ocean views.

You can walk to a number of cafes, restaurants, shops, banks, butchers, mini-markets, supermarket. Most importantly you are literally steps away from the beach and the promenade which stretches right around the bay to Salir do Porto.

The promenade hosts a number of events over the course of the year so there is usually something going on if you want to join in. On the last Sunday of every month there is a antique and second hand market that stretches from one end of the promenade to the other and is always well attended and a great time to pick up some unusual items.

Sao Martinho is located equidistant between the towns of Caldas da Rainha and Alcobaca. Both towns have lovely town centres with Caldas being the larger of the two.

Caldas has a fabulous centre where there are shops, cafes, restaurants, shopping mall, supermarkets, hospital, hotels. There is a gorgeous park area that has a lovely duck pond and a restaurant along with cafes where you can sit, relax and enjoy the peace and tranquillity, while being in the middle of the city. There is always something going on in Caldas and there is some wonderful history and architecture to be found there.

There is also a train station in Sao Martinho do Porto and a bus service.

Lisbon and Lisbon Airport are an hour away.
