La Casa Launa is found in Pitres, one of the more authentic villages nestled in the hills of the
Granadian side of the beautiful Alpujarra situated in the National Park of the Sierra Nevada, an area
revered for its natural beauty and located at around 75km from Granada and 45km from the Costa Tropical (Motril, Salobreña and Almuñecar).

From the entrance, you are welcomed by a spacious open-plan living-dining room with a cosy
fireplace, designed with social gatherings in mind.

The property hosts an American style kitchen, two large bedrooms and a bathroom.

At the entrance of the house, a porch that is orientated south-west, has space for a table and chairs to make the most of the long sunny afternoons and alfresco dining or a glass under the starry skies.

Being located in the upper part of the village offers the luxury of views from the terrace and the garden over the rooftops of the village and stretching out across to the Sierra Nevada. Now what could be nicer than that? A glass in hand watching the sunset and the rosy hue fade from the snow peaked mountains to gift you with a sky dotted with millions of stars.. .

Pitres is the gateway to discovering the most intimate secrets of the Sierra Nevada. The village also known as La Taha, is the perfect starting location for excursions to nearby villages such as Capilerilla,Ferreirola, Atalbeitar, Mecina y Fondales, all famed for the traditional style flat slate covered roofs, white-washed walls and cobbled streets decorated with pink and red geraniums. From here you are also able to reach the highest peaks of the Sierra Nevada, on foot, if you are seasoned adventurer, and for the less bold, buses take you to the base of Mulhacen, the highest of the peaks named after the ancient King of Spain who once resided in Granada.
