THE HOUSE

The house is bright and airy and very well maintained.

Stone steps lead from the road to the entrance of the house protected by a tiled pergola. The stairs are secured by low stone walls and flower beds on both sides.

You enter in a large hallway, with dark terra cotta floor tiles, wooden ceiling, the staircase leading to the upper floor, a storage and a WC. A double glass door opens to the spacious and comfortable living/dining area, with wooden floor, a built in fire place, wood beamed ceiling, built in bookcase and cupboards. Long windows create a constant flow of light and give the room a modern look.

To the left is a fully equipped kitchen corner with dark colored cupboards for storage and stainless steel electrical appliances. A door leads to the garage and storage area on the lower floor.

An arched glass door gives access to a large covered balcony equipped with sun screens for hot or windy days and extended with a pergola.

Tiled stairs lead to the upper floor consisting of 4 rooms and a bathroom. One of the rooms is quite small and is used as an office. The large master bedroom has a walk in closet, a storage room that was meant to be a bathroom (is provided with the water outlets) but is actually used as storage, and a covered veranda. The bed is facing a glass sliding door offering a framed view of the mountains as a backdrop.

Two more spacious bedrooms are on this floor, as well as a bathroom with a built shower and a wall mounted toilet.
All rooms have free standing wardrobes and high quality wooden floors and ceilings.

The lower floor can be reached either by exterior steps or from the kitchen and consists of 5 different parts. The main area is a completely self sufficient guest accommodation with a stylish living area with big patio doors, an equipped kitchen corner including dishwasher, 2 air-conditioned bedrooms with ceiling fans, and a shower room with a built tiled bench with the wash basin, a built shower, WC and the washing machine.

There is also a garage, a storage room, a laundry room with a washing machine, tumble dryer and sink and another storage room with the steps to the top floor, all interlinked by doors.

EXTERIOR

The entire plot is terraced and has stone supporting walls, is leveled, walled and planted with a variety of plants, mature trees and shrubs.

A large stone-paved driveway leads along the house to the garage at the back. Parallel to it are the stone steps leading to the entrance.

The 26m2 kidney shaped pool is on the same level as the lower floor, has easy access and enjoys amazing mountain views. A comfortable tiled area offers plenty of space for umbrellas and soaking up the sun. A spacious covered balcony offers the much needed shade during the hot summer months. The pool area is fenced and bordered with colorful flowers and shrubs, and the entire plot is walled.

The house enjoys total privacy; the terraced gardens are immaculately landscaped and accessed via a series of stone paths. The outside areas are extremely well designed with plenty of terraces and areas with secluded spots for relaxing and dining.

THE AREA

Kaina is a peaceful traditional village at the foot of the mountains, with a few inhabitants and a local kafeneon. The bigger village of Vamos is a mere 5 minutes drive and offers plenty of amenities like taverns, mini market, post, bank, school etc. The drive to the town of Chania is about 30 minutes, and 50 minutes to Chania international airport.
