This much loved, detached, spacious Mediterranean feel family house is situated near the town of Pontivy, in central Brittany. It is ideal as a home, relaxing summer holidays or cosy hibernation breaks. Located in rural Brittany it is ideal for exploring the local amenities, fish and fruit markets, golf courses, horse trekking, safe cycle rides, regional restaurants, beautiful beaches, boating lakes and much, much more.

The house has recently been renovated with large outside areas, ideal for alfresco dining.

Garden and Patio area

This is an integral part of the Mediterranean feel, with a very large tiled patio. Part of the patio provides a sun bathing area, the other half of the patio provides shade for alfresco dining, situated under a grape covered pergola.

There is an area to sit and enjoy a glass of red wine with the late evening sun. With buddleia plants providing butterflies for entertainment!

The house is situated approx 5 minutes from the pretty village of Guemene sur Scroff. It has 4 different restaurants, bank, post office, cafes and a variety of local shops. There is also a weekly outdoor market, and a supermarche for all your food shopping needs.

Le Lac de Guerledan is approx 20minutes away and is ideal for biking, walking, water sports and picnicking, also they have the occasional car boot sale.

Golf de Rimaison is the local golf club which welcomes visitors and you can hire the equipment on site.

There is a riding school just a couple of minutes away which has lessons by the hour and trekking rides for all levels.

Pontivy is a 20 minute drive, and sits on the Nantes Brest Canal. It has many beautiful buildings and is home to the Chateau de Rohan. The town also has a Chocolatier which we can highly recommend.

Lorient is wonderful for its miles of sandy beaches and its many beach side cafes, bars and restaurants.

Vannes is a great town to visit if you want to shop. Take the tourist train that goes through the Centre Ville and see the historic sites. Then visit the designer shops for special purchases, we recommend eating by the port in one of the many cafes in the evening sun.
