We are delighted to be able to market this amazing stone house in Hvar which offers an opportunity to share in the history of this most beautiful town. It is a charming traditional house with a courtyard, built by the Venetians in the sixteenth century as a holiday house for priests. The first recorded occupant was a Father Pace in 1520.

The house, is arranged over three floors, and is entered from the street through a wide front door leading into a large reception hallway. Off to the right is a very spacious kitchen/dinning room with lovely flag stone floor as well as an original stone sink set in a window recess. The kitchen units are recent and fitted with oven, hob and dish wash with a free standing fridge. Across the hallway is the sitting room with an original stone fireplace and steps leading to the courtyard garden. There is also a separate WC.

Via stairs from the hallway, to the first floor where the master bedroom can be found, complete with an ensuite shower room. There are an additional three further bedrooms and a WC on this floor. The top floor via a lovely stone staircase has a further bedroom with an ensuite shower room and access to a balcony from where you have a roof top view of the harbour and sea beyond. A good size walk in loft provides excellent storage space.

Externally there is a spacious courtyard which in summer is covered with vines for shade and in addition there is a secluded stone terrace area above. There are two stone outhouses (with new roofs), both have electricity and one also has running water. One contains a stone barbecue with chimney and the other, featuring a unique 16th century stone water well, bearing a Venetian coat of arms. From the court yard there is also direct access via large double doors to the street beyond.

Situated in the pedestrian old town on the corner of steps leading down to the piazza in one direction and to the stone gateway through the old town walls in the other. Hvar town is an amazing place to be part of, in the height of the summer months with an electrifying buzz and pace of life.
