Hooked! from the second we walked in the wonderful big old wooden door ! we love these truly traditional houses with their family histories , objects and layouts that hark back to simpler times.

This house is set on a lovely street full of impressive large houses, the old centre, from the outside you would never guess what a spacious and charming home lies behind the simple façade.

The double wooden doors lead into an entrance vestibule with internal doors that lead into the formal receiving hall , off which there is a salon to the front and a passageway with feature arches, floor tiles and customary slope that the animals used to be led down to the stables at the rear. there is a patio in between the main house and large 2 story stable, off which we find a small kitchen and dining room with a bodega like room where the hams and chorizo of the house were stored along with a supply of home made wine. there is a modern shower room further down the patio too.

Back in the main house the various levels off the reception area offer room after room all sizeable and used as bedrooms in the past, but could become whatever you choose to make them.

Upstairs is equally surprising , this is where your imagination could be let fly, large spacious high raftered rooms in tidy order with solid beamed roofs where the grain and animal feed where stored could make fabulous bedrooms and living areas, there is so much scope but also so much of the original that can be maintained and enhanced due to the loving care the family have lavished on this home with over 150 years of history for them.

There is a terrace off these spaces with lovely views over the village to the castle and church and this terrace could be extended over the stable roof without too much disruption to the main house

It really has to be seen and felt to understand the layout and potential of this typical Andalucian house, would make and amazing rustic guest house or large family home for several generations as size and layout lend themselves perfectly to creating several separate suites of rooms.
