Singer Mariah Carey has put her villa in the Bahamas, the site of her 2008 marriage to TV presenter Nick Cannon, on sale for $5.5 million.
The 4,000 square foot property is situated on Windermere Island, a favoured holiday spot of the rich and famous including the late Princess Diana. Named Villa Sea Lily, it was purchased by the Grammy award winning diva in 2007 and has three bedrooms, each with a marble bathroom and a bar.
At least one of the bedrooms has a private living room area, and there is also a 40ft swimming pool, marble terrace areas with surrounding pavilions and plenty of outdoor entertaining areas for those lingering happy hours (if the guests can drag themselves away from the bedroom bars that is).
Also included in the price are two garages, direct access to the beachfront, air con, service quarters, a huge kitchen, marble walkways and an outside stone fireplace and barbeque area with impressive views of swaying palm trees.
The new owner also doesn't need to worry about being papped. Not only is the property situated in a quiet gated community, but the island is accessible only by private helicopter or a short, guard-gated bridge.
