New French homes prove popular

There are just two new build homes remaining for sale in MGM's latest development in the French Alpine region of Samoens, highlighting the scheme's popularity.

The French property developer says that all but two of the 65 apartments in MGM's latest residential project, part of Les Ecrins Etoiles, have now been sold.

France remains one of the most desirable places to for Brits to buy a holiday home overseas. The French Alps is particularly popular with those people looking for a summer holiday destination, while being conveniently located for the ski season.

Situated within the Haute Savoie region between Geneva and Chamonix, the house builder says that Samoens has proved especially popular with British buyers wanting to pursue a lifestyle which enables them to integrate with local people while enjoying a variety of year-round activities.

In summer they include rock climbing, archery, paragliding, white water rafting, horse riding, walking, cycling and fishing. Skiing, dog sledging and climbing frozen waterfalls are popular in the winter months.

Available for sale at Les Ecrins Etoiles are a two-bedroom apartment with a floor area of 52 square metres, priced at £240,000, and a three-bedroom duplex available for £420,000.
