Les and Helen Hodgkins from Halifax are looking to swap expensive holidays in the Canary Islands for a winter sun holiday home which they can use for vacations with their three children and four grandchildren.
In the UK they’ve bought and sold no less than 25 times in the last 30 years and their smart property investments mean they have a budget of £150,000 to splash out on a home which will give them the outdoors lifestyle they crave.
But will these seasoned property buyers find tough challenges in a different market? Or will the falling house prices in what was once the most expensive of the Canary Islands mean they can snap up the bargain home of their dreams?
