Jan from Sidcup in Kent is ready for a brand new start. With the death of her husband two years ago and her grown up sons leaving home, she has found herself with very few ties to the UK, which is why relocating to Abruzzo in Italy holds it appeal.
She fell in love with the region’s stunning scenery and friendly locals on a recent yoga holiday, and now wants to make it her full time home, taking on a renovation project with a budget of £250,000 to include the initial purchase costs and any work that needs to be done. Driven Jan has even drawn up the design of what her perfect pad would look like.
The only thing holding her back is her sister Chris, who feels that she should move to South Kent where she can keep an eye on her and where she will have the other members of her family on hand to offer support. With emotions running high, where will Jan’s heart lie – home or away?
