Find out more about Laura Hamilton, presenter of A Place in the Sun: Winter Sun and A Place in the Sun: Home or Away?
Paul and Ann Cruxton dream of a fresh start for their retirement. Ann is drawn to the Folkestone area of Kent where presenter Luke Doonan shows them three suitable properties. But Paul wants to settle in southern France.
Ann and Paul Cruxton from Birmingham dream of spending their retirement by the sea. The couple are both keen to leave behind the hustle and bustle of the city and for Ann it’s been a dream since childhood to live somewhere rural where she can own a dog and chickens and grow a few of her own vegetables.
For her, the ideal setting would be Folkestone in Kent, but Paul isn't convinced. He's hoping for the couple spend the next chapter of their lives in the Languedoc-Rousillon region of France which has some great roads on which he can enjoy driving his beloved Porsche 911.
Pooling together Paul’s redundancy money and the profit from selling their current home, the couple have a budget of £300,000. Will Luke find them a place that makes them stay closer to home or can Laura tempt them with a pad that sees them move to southern France?
