Sussex couple Nicky Jonas and Tony Murrell met online over two years ago, fell in love and now want to buy their first house together.
The question is do they consolidate their two UK homes into a larger one on the East Sussex coast or buy a smaller UK property and a holiday home in Croatia? The couple love diving, paragliding and travelling which Croatia will offer them in abundance, but could they bring themselves to turn their backs on the country that brought them together?
Home properties - Lewes
Just ten minutes away from Brighton, the historical town of Lewes is ideally located for London commuting making it a popular area. But that's not all it has to offer. Tourist attractions including Anne of Cleves' house and Lewes Castle make the area a must see for history lovers. The town's cobbled streets and cafe culture is also a major draw and its proximity to the downs means that though paragliding may be off the menu, at least the couple will be able to exercise by going for blustery walks.

Away properties - Croatia
The city of Zadar is the main city of northern Dalmatia the area located between Rijeka and Split. A short flight from the U.K, the area is popular with overseas property owners who get the weather of the med without the high price tag. Buying costs are around 6% compared with 16% over the border in Italy. The couple will benefit from over 3,000 sunny hours every year on the Croatian coast, but will this be enough to convince them to make an investment?
