Laura Hamilton knows as much about renovating properties as she does triple axels and Arabesques.

The 29-year-old runner up of last year's Dancing on Ice has been buying and doing up properties since she was only 19, and now combines her hobby with a successful career in TV as one of the team presenting A Place in the Sun: Winter Sun which returned to Channel 4 in February 2012.

After growing up in Kent, Laura now lives in Surrey with her fiancé Alex. She started her TV career as an assistant floor manager then assistant director before getting her break in front of the camera in children’s TV. She was asked to appear on Dancing on Ice in 2011.

Proving that she can do anything she sets her mind to, Laura and her dance partner Colin became the only couple to ever get a perfect score of 30.0 before finally finishing the series in second place.

In her spare time Laura loves extreme sports. She has been a keen skier since the age of 9, enjoys wakeboarding and waterskiing and has also sky-dived from 14000ft. With a passion for travel she has seen many parts of the world including India, North Africa, USA, Cuba, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Hong Kong, Australia, Fiji and Iceland.
